i was driving yesterday and found the crank pulley has seperated inner from the outer at the rubber bond.

my corsa b sport has power steering but no air-con

i got home and changed it with another one i had which was off a mk4 astra but my old aternator belt is to short my about 30mm and wonderd if anybody has had a probleam like this before and if there is a correct belt i can get to fit or if its a case of finding another good sport one which is slightly smaller

any help very welcome

I take it the pulley you've fitted is larger than your OE one?

If so, can you not source a correct replacement pulley?

Your other option is to visit a parts factors and buy a selection of belts that fit the bill, width-wise and then offer each one up until you find one that fits and allows some adjustment.

You would be better off sourcing the correct pulley if poss though, as an incorrectly sized pulley could possibly cause issues with either your alternator or PAS pump or both.
