Author best way to boost the wifi?

From the router to the bedroom upstairs the wifi seems to drop now and again, what would people suggest the best way to do that? Something like these?

Bt wifi extender

Bt wifi powerline

OTp link extender

Unless you have the knowledge to setup a second access point, i'd just use something like this.

I've got one never used you can have for £12 if you like, not sure if I know where the packaging is though. Bought it as I was having problems but later found out it was an error with my actual router.

I know somebodys bound to take the piss but it can be done with a piece of concaved cardboard covered in foil to deflect signal in the required direction simply by placing on the correct side of the router. Daft as it sounds i tried it and it extended the signal enough for what i needed.

I'd go with either a powerline ethernet link, if it's a single device, or a powerline wifi access point.
Or if you can run an ethernet link to another location, then use a vanilla wireless access point on the end of it.
