.... But an Edition 100 Astra Coupe.
Picked this up last night after selling the Lexus. No 0271 out of 1000 made and has Jeds favourite engine.
Mainly standard except for an Eibach Pro spring kit, Irmscher Grille, Astra Vxr front brakes and headlamp protectors. Drives spot on and handles very well.
Suspect it's been in the hands of John D's painter at some point as the front bumper is a different shade, which I'll get re-done at some point.

Why did they call it an Edition 100 then make 1,000 of them?

The Lexus was decent but the more I looked at it the more I felt it looked very dated. And if I'm being honest I prefer fwd. The Lexus handled very good and was well balanced, but it felt on edge when pressing on. Anything other than dry road it would oversteer without even trying. Traction control system is useless, could have the tail right out and it wouldn't kick in right away. Just wasn't for me.
I'd recommend 1 to anyone though, very good cars on the whole.

Love these, had a convertible in for salvage last year which I should have kept really.
Looks sound just that touch lower than standard.

It's hit or miss with the coupes and the paint match on the front bumpers from factory. Some are ok, some are shit paint match. This has just been a shit match but should be easy enough sorted. Can't just grab another pre painted bumper as dosnt seem to be much for sale, never mind for breaking.
Does sit nice with the Eibachs. Only 30/30 but makes a decent enough difference to the looks and handling without compromising the ride comfort.

There is no way that bumper is the right one for that car and the bad colour match is down to the factory paint job just being shit, that's as obvious as a black bumper on a wire car especially where it meets the wing not a chance quality control would let that go out like that

It's just a shit paint match. Only other colour close to this is Europa Blue, and it's no where near the same colour as that.

It's a deep purple colour. Done some digging and it says the paint code is a 3 coat pearlescent if any painters on here might know what's went wrong?
No biggy really as it's not came out my pocket (yet) so will take it to a few painters see if they can do a better match on it.

It's not the original paint, don't know if it's original bumper. It's been painted. It's not been replaced by another bumper as the colour dosnt match any of the others in the range.

I reckon they got the wrong colour. Am sure there are about 3 blues all very similar. And the edition 100 had its own colour.
