Noticed yesterday that today is 10 years ago to the day that I siged up
Not quite sure how I came across the site, assume I googled corsa forum or simular but it remains one of the best forums I have used. I have been on a few different forums with the cars that I have owned ie civictype-r.co.uk and saxperiance for the civic and saxo. But this is the one that I still come back to even not owning the car. Others either have a rubbish layout, are full of idiots or dead.
I do miss the haydays before facebook when you could come of here and have loads of pages and threads to read through each time.
morning thread good times and no work done at work
106 GTI > everything days
various charecters which have been and gone
Met many a friend through here aswell and chances are I wouldnt have done half the car related things I have done without it (would have had alot more money mind )
Think Fad was the first person I met when I met him Jr and some others down southend seafront to buy a gsi spoiler from him for my 1.2 Then met many more at my first show/pvs
First car
How it ended up and at PVS for the first time
Then I wanted power so got a gsi
Got it painted and rust sorted, mantzel inlet, mani etc loved it. But still smoked after having stem seals and rings so lost heart and sold up. Kind of wish I didnt as i miss it
rolling roaded
popped my track cherry at the first WR event ian did
how it looked when it went
Then I went jap, loved the car but had my infamous nurburgring miss hap. CS friends including Lee, Jr, Willay etc helped get it home and me back on track
Last ever picture of it looking good, hit armco on this lap
Cant find any pictures of the lads handy work but to say we was proud to get it home under our own steam was very true
Stop gap car was Saxo VTS, ended up with it as it was a bit of a bargin. 150bhp, bilstiens, quaife etc and was proabably the most fun car I have had. But the rear arches rusted through and I was sick of replacing drive shafts so was split for parts
Now have my current car supercharged civic type r (another bargin I couldnt refuse) which has been the longest owned car at 5 years. keep considering changing but there is nothing that touches it for the money
Just realised some of that sounds a bit mushy
Ah well

Happy anniversary Gav
GSi looks so tiny between the focus and the Golf.
Didn't realise your current Civic wasn't the 'ring car.

Just noticed I missed my 10th by ten days.
First came on here because I was mates with JR through work and he said it was brilliant on here and a right grin.
Joined up and haven't looked back. Best all round forum i've ever used and i'm registered on quite a few.
