Nearly Right. I have 3, well, i haven't now, but i did.

Points stay on the license for 3 years. Although you will need to disclose these points for a further 2 years to insurance companies.

Luckily im getting my bike license added so i can get rid of mine

So when can you apply to have them taken off your license? On the 4th year or what?

GTF with telling insurance company after they have been taken off. I have 3 coming off at the end of this year.

I feel this to be the way foward.

It will invalidate your insurance if you are caught. Esp if the date was like 3 years ago then they dissapear.

3 Points SP30 doesn't matter anyway. There so common that the insurance companies only charge like £5 extra

Not much when ur paying £950

Hmm, so in November 2004 it will be 3 years, and I can apply to have them removed in November 2005?

Points are on your licence for 4 years but only count towards a ban for 3 years, the final year they are on just as a reference.
