I'm off to view a corsa C 1.2 sxi tomorrow. The mrs will start to use it to learn in. It's got long mot but no tax. I'm not going to tax it to drive half hour home then loose a month and also day insure it. The chap says he can deliver if I want it.

What should I look out for in general. Have they got porous heads like my 1.6 astra had?

Leaks in foot well, gear linkage and steering rack

He said it gets a bit damp in drivers footwell. I had a quick google and its a seal in the bulkhead which I can sort.

When you say steering rack. Is that the knocking noise when you turn the steering wheel left and right quickly?

Cv would yeah, I imagine steering rack would too if engine was running.

Rack ends is fairly common, play when you wobble the wheel as you say.
