My time with the M135i is coming to an end , it has been mapped to just short of 400hp and is an absolute hoot of a car. All things must however come to an end, I am starting to become bored and something must take its place within the next 12 months most likely Feb 2016. My options are somewhat mixed. I am torn between the following :-
Used R35 GTR (2012) - scary costs if anything goes wrong.
new focus RS - money saver but could be a good investment , residuals look good.
New Bmw M2
Used m3 (2014)
Any other suggestions or pointers ? I really want the r35 ! But I am worried about component failures , let's face it most of them have had a hard life.

Hmm , as much as I think they are a cracking car , I think it is a bit grown up for me.

Focus rs will definitely be the best investment and will no doubt be fantastic to drive.

Never understand people asking about cars a year in advance. If I want to change and have my mind on something I want it right now!
Hard to choose from the list of four though, all very nice cars.

Think you will find when dumping a bunch of cash into a car it's quite a big deal, it is after all the 2nd most expensive thing you will ever own. A year in the think pot is a wise move. I came on here as a car enthusiast seeking opinion not to wave my willy. I will take my queries else where.

Not really what I was getting at, more that I just couldn't wait that long once I'd made my mind up

Running costs of a gtr are extortionate, mate of mine has one he's only 23, parents are loaded, tyres and brakes (which they go through loads of) are extortionate, also the gearboxes need regular servicing/updates etc which cost him in the thousands! As did discs and pads

M135i - is running a stage 2 jb4 with downpipe (sports cat). It's not leased, well it's on pcp so kind of leased.
