From the purpose of insurance point of views, are they interested in:

Date of offence

Date of conviction

Date of sentencing

(Assuming the latter two are different from the first).

Internet is confusing and the 'legal advisor' is aboard.

Depends on the insurer, also the last two should be the same.

I've always used/been asked for the Date of Conviction.

In this circumstance the date of sentencing was delayed due to special reasons.

Will work of date of conviction then.
