Popped into Skoda today to book my Vrs in for a service

Hour later I had bought a fully loaded Octavia Vrs black edition with 1500 miles on the clock. Was £27.9k new last November, got it for £20k with an incredible trade in offer for my 2008 one too. Skoda were having an offers weekend for existing customers so got a really good deal on finance too. Should get it within a fortnight! Not really sure his that happened but essentially my monthly payment only changes by £40 so it seemed too good not to have

It's basically this but in diesel mode with black wheels, grills and mirrors- test drove it today and it's a beast

Nice!

Whats the black edition? Just the blak line trim and optional 19"s?

I came close to leasing one last year, thought it was lovely. Was going to go for the Dog wagon though as I think it looks nicer than the hatch?!

New 230 edition looks fab.

Very nice. My local dealership are trying fairly hard to get me to trade my MY12 version in against a new one. Resisted so far as I've no need to change as its given us no issues and is a perfetct family car, and I've no finance etc. owing.

Am tempted though...

Wtf, no way is that a skoda

Looks awesome. You can tell it's a rebadged vw/audi vehicle, which is no bad thing.

Very smart mate.

Those are 18"s not the 19"s.

Nice cars, so solid and well built. HUMUNGOUS inside also.

Green ones are actually cool!

As far as Skodas go, that is proper nice. I'm sat in a VW Passat for work and it's basically the same car and it's a nice place to be

lovely looking motor, however don't you think Skoda could've got more than 180bhp? That's the same as my 2010 Fabia VRS

If you want more buy the Audi or VW. They aren't going to make a skoda that's in direct competition with other more expensive cars in the group.

Would love a 4wd/quattro equivalent Octavia vrs.

Don't forget it is a diesel. Will happily say good bye to your Fabia and easily tuned for well over 200bhp.

It's quick enough for my driving these days - more important to me is that it handles and stops like a much smaller car - I can't say it's far off my cliosports which were on rails. In sports mode it's really fun to drive. That's a nice thing to have with a car of it's size - they are bloody huge inside, after having small hatches all my life it made a nice change having my old Vrs ... I can get my road bike taken to bits in the boot with the back seats up still... Or put them flat and the bike gos in whole with the sub still in and loads of luggage. Really good all rounders in my opinion.

O-60 in under 8 seconds on a big car with over 60 mpg average isn't bad
