I've been rear ended in the Focus

Rear bumper is cracked and grazed in several places, back plastic bit inside the boot has broken clips, parcel shelf is cracked and there's some plastic cover that is cracked under the car.

Will this be repaired on a 61 plate tdci with 28k on the clock?

Being serious I imagine the plastics are worth a couple of hundred then a respeay another couple hundred depends what needs spraying the big problem would be the crease in the floor and what else is damaged beyond that. If it was me personally I would repair that car but I'm not an insurer

I think the "boot crease = instant write off" is a bit of an urban myth?

Missus' corsa was repaired with a creased boot floor, though the car was only 6 days old

Surely it's not that much work to replace a boot floor and the two caps on the chassis (can't remember their name, the things that crumple)

Mito had a bent boot floor, fucked bumper and a couple of smashed low level lights and it was repaired, by Tom, after someone hit me at 30. The bill came to less than £2k so yes, your shitty focus will get repaired

I love the urban myth of if a roof is damaged its suddenly a write off.

Will be fixed the Focus. I'm currently putting a boot floor in a Renault Trafic van/minibus Muchos fun!

I think if my car needed that amount of work doing to repair it I wouldn't want it back!

My auntie had a bad smash few years ago in a pretty new golf gti that got repaired and was just never the same..

3.6k! Years ago my Corsa had similar damage - £1,600 repair bill so car was wrote off.

One of the mates was flat out replacing car roofs when we had the bad snow. Mainly from large amounts of snow falling off the roof of a house etc

It's not been confirmed the car will be fixed but given it's value and repair cost I think it will.

Currently in a CMAX as a hire car. Mrs was dripping wet when i arrived home in it. She emptied the boot of all my shit to take her Nan shopping in it this morning. I think it's boring as hell and if she has any plans of one of these as a family car i'm chopping my cock off!!
