A video from this day popped up on my FB feed. The standard of driving looked terrible, though it could just have been 10mins of all the bad bits and not representative.

Was it that bad on the day?

I'm not just talking spins/crashes - but botched overtakes half way round corners, multiple cars abreast into braking zones, etc.

Driving standards are very hit & miss at these, I personally think they have gotten worse over the 9 years I've gone to them... Could just be my thought process changing over that time though. Ha

Some decent people out there, along with some dickheads.

The Skoda Yeti was my favourite car of the day too - it was so, so quick round there.

Hunted down the build thread, 2.5TFSi (TT-RS) - 510bhp, 4WD.

Mental.

Think I saw the same video too, all based on that corner (where the TVR went off).

That Yeti is awesome. That bloke has a few secret track weapons.

@Djgritt, please could you send me the photo of that Yeti please?

I've just seen that video. Looks horrendous. Literally 4 a breast into the corner and cunts all over the place.

No Thankyou.

I wonder how many people see these days and are put off ever trying a proper track day.

Kinda ironic, it should be a format that makes track time accessible to ze masses.

I would like to do a track day but am put off by how busy these events are, I would be a nervous wreck and do about 3mph all the way round.

Guys name is Richard and has many very nice and capable cars!

Check out his R32 skyline in non skoda projects, check the fabia section and you'll see him again. And the to really top it off check out the citigo projects for his real weapon, or will be on completion!!!

That video is a whole day compressed in to 10 minutes which inc. a lot of drifting.

I do think the sessioned format lowers the standard because everyone wants to make the most of their 15 minutes.

I would prefer it if the briefing featured actual advice about driving rather than being an opportunity for stand-up but I'll still go. Its not a track day - its a show with track sessions.
