Did anyone watch? So many memories!! Amazing to see it again! Can't remember how old I was when it used to be on, but remember I watched it fairly religiously! Anyone else watch it back in the 90's?

I used to watch it when I was 18 before gong in town drinking. Made me want to go to Edward's and Old Oreleons for cocktails

Was excellent, was a bit nervous they'd ruin it by bringing it back, but did an excellent job.

Really really good. Started to annoy me that they kept repeating a lot of the clips from the old series as opposed to showing different ones though. And Gallacher with Daltrey was a bit crap lol.

I must be the only one that thought it was just alright Nice to see it back but it wasn't anywhere near as good as it use to be and i'm not sure it'd work now if they brought it back - tbh, i doubt they could half the stuff they use to.

Yeah it was alright. Think bringing it back properly would kill it though... want to see the La Ferrari in the dry! Anyone else think Clarkson/Evans would be a good combo for a new Topish Gear?

F1 or motorsports in general? F1 sure; wouldn't have thought the latter though

Is he? Really? Are you sure?
If so, then that's disappointing. A rather sad indictment of UK racing drivers past and present.
Had no idea. Would rather not have known Ben.
I try my utmost to block his existence from my mind.
That's why I found it so tedious that the programme centred so much of it's focus on him.
I kept having to hit the mute button or turn over.

It wouldn't work if they brought it back full time, the culture is different now and there's no way they'd be able to do the same stuff. There is nowhere near enough decent bands to fill it either. It was the right show at the right time.

F1 is the pinnacle of motorsport. As such, being the most successful in that category means he's the most successful British racing driver.
Type this in on Google: ''who is the most successful British racing driver''. It tells you what i've told you.

It's maybe the pinnacle of motorsport engineering but you can't claim it's the pinnacle of motorsport. That's personal opinion, not a fact.
How do you measure success, net worth, race wins, titles?
Totally subjective.

Massively debatable now when you have series' like LMP1 that are pushing the technology envelope a little more than F1. Either way, it wasn't what i was asking and it doesn't answer my question regarding him being the most successful British driver across all motorsports - he might be but there's an awful lot of British drivers about across the spectrum, so i'd be surprised.
Although i'm not sure why me asking that has got your back up? I'm not doubting Hamilton's success in F1, it's bloody impressive.
As for the Google comment, when you do that search it lists articles with titles along the lines of "...most successful British F1 driver" etc.

Which appear even though I never mentioned F1 in the search bar.
Not gonna argue with you. Everyone knows you can't win a debate against Dom.

If I want successful sportspeople, I'll watch that awards thing. Or the sport itself.
If I was a chat show, I'll watch people who have something about them.

Yeah, he's rather boring really...Never in the media or speaking his mind....Never....
Can't wait to hear that time when Jeremy Clarkson spanked his one off Zonda through the tunnel at Monaco and video'd it.
