How do all!

My name is Rķan and as of today, I'm a member of Corsa Sport!
So, I thought the first post should be a bit of an introduction.

I'm from Northern Ireland (have already seen a few other Norn Irunders already), and I'm a huge Vauxhall fan. Everything from a Viva, to a chevette, calibra or corsa, I love them.

Already, I have two Vauxhalls, two b's, both being flame red. The first was a run around that we bought with me starting to drive soon in mind. It was a 1.0 12v with large backbox, OZ alloys, drilled airbox and pretty much everything else standard. The wee car can be seen below:

She was a great wee motor and never let us down, not once. She needed a crankshaft sensor at the start as when she got warm she wouldn't start again and when you sunk the foot when idling, it took ages to rev and kind of missed a bit. Think we replaced the AFM and maybe temp sensor ( so many sensors!!), but after that she ran like a good un! The orange light of death did come on and off regularly but I put it down to having no air intake pipe and thus sucking in warm air.

Sadly though, the boot rot got her and she now sits in the back yard awaiting sale Though, what makes me love these cars is that, the wee car could sit for weeks, but with first turn of the key she fires up!

With the first corsa off the road, que the 2nd!

We bought this wee car after viewing it online. It had only 58,000 miles, which as you know is nothing for a b. Underneath is was as clean as get out, you could even see the paint in the arches. So anyway, we done a deal and she was mine. This is my real first car and it's just brilliant. Being a 1.2 16v breeze, it's a bit nippier than the 1.0, but I know that the 1.0 actually has more bhp due to the eco engine thing.

So anyway I plan to just fix up this corsa, put the rear spoiler on, fix the wee rust spots, maybe new alloys, poss the OZ ones that'll need refurbed, and that's basically it. I want to keep her relatively standard as you don't find to many clean, standard b's any more.

Anyway, to round things off, if you've managed to get this far, pat yourself on the back and thanks!
Hopefully I'll get plenty of advice and help on the site, and learn a bit more about the b.

All the best,
Rķan

Thanks lads

Ian W- read your whole thread and must say that it's a class wee motor!
Think I've only ever seen one Gsi over here, a red one, but it was most likely a rep.
