Offshore wind is a good shout - used to work in that sector myself until recently. Plenty work for someone with a head for heights. Turbine inspection work will rocket over the coming years when they start to age. Much of the good work/companies now on the continent rather than UK.

Not sure I'm comfortable with the notion of 'starting again'. You'll still be the same person, same feelings, same emotions. Same strengths and same failings.
As I said last time, take each issue as it comes and have an idea what you want to. Clean break sounds lovely but unless you have that machine from Men in Black then you're not going to be able to achieve it.
Your job might do you head in (does it? Fairly sure you enjoyed it?) or your town might be not a desirable place but if you move, you're going to be you, just in a different town.
Same parental issue unless you're also planning to forget the kid - thought you wanted them on side when they got old enough to see past the mother? If indeed the mother is the only problem.
Guarantee even if you got a job and somewhere to live - which on an objective level is difficult anyway - we'd have another thread saying I've moved and this is wrong, that is wrong, etc, etc.
Time to break down the exact things which are wrong and address each on in turn. I left a job which although was comfortable and enjoyable did get on top of me some times. I also don't maintain relationships if they don't work for me. And as a result I'm happy. And that didn't need me to disappear from everyone and reappear with a new identity. That also wouldn't have been the ticket to happiness. You need to retain your roots, but manage the bullshit.
You'll just be sad and somewhere else if you pull this one off.
