Cars been running like dog shit for a while. Internet has diagnosed it as coil pack. Common for this car and mileage.

Bought Bosch coil pack and what ever leads ECP had in stock. Waiting for it to be delivered.

Is it just a straight swap with a coil pack? No silly ECU programming required? Will the car have to self learn again or should it run sweet as a nut as soon as it's replaced?

You say that...

Placed an order on for the Bosch coil pack and leads. Bosch coil pack said 24-48 hour availability, thought fine, can't fit till the weekend anyway.

Get an email saying the order is on hold due to being out of stock. Thought that was normal based on the 24-48 hour availability. No, they're out of stock completely

Cancelled order, got to replace online so I can use the 10% off code and collect a Delphi one from Stevenage.

Delphi good shit right?

Delphi are good yeah

What ECP do is...... Garage rings up asks for parts (they haven't got them on the shelf, but know if they tell you that you will ring one of the other rival parts suppliers local who will have it) so they send you any old shite, by the time it's delivered and you have realised and rang back they say oh I'm so sorry I'll get the right bits up to you now by which time they have ordered them in from another branch. Therefore costing you time and money, total fucking bellends. Every order I make now I tell them if it's not here and correct in ten mins to cancel it, seems to work ok.

I ordered full service kit from Andrew Pages last week for a van at work. I reviewed oil filter, fuel filter, pollen filter and also the discs and pads I'd ordered for it. Rang to say there's no oil or air filter, they turn up an hour later with oil, still no air filter! 2 more hours later they eventually bring it! What a Joke!

Last time I went to ECP the guy was trying to sell me a manifold to downpipe gasket when I asked for the downpipe to cat one, he wouldn't have it that he was wrong, the cat was on the desk and I had to point out there was no way it was gonna fit

Coil pack is wrong

Bolt pattern is fine. But wiring loom connector is different and more importantly the mounting doesn't work.

Existing is about 5mm thing where the bolt goes in to. These are about 25mm so existing bolts aren't long enough.

Reckon this is for facelift Mk6 which is rather frustrating as I out the Reg into ECP website but it gave both options.

Saga continues. Reserved one online, that wasn't right. Well it was, as it come with longer bolts

So the HAAS part now given says the OE No: 1S7G-12029-AB

However internet says that is for a Ford Mondeo. The ECP website says 1S7G-12029-AC is the correct part, as does the internet.

Reckon it'll work?!

Most parts are interchangeable between cars.

Easiest thing to do is remove the offending part and get the part number off that.

Why didn't you get the part number off the one already on your car?

Didn't think of that

As I thought ECP would be able to deal with a common part for a common car.

No wonder my father-in-law had trouble with parts for his 2002 Hyundai Accent

Fitted Sunday. With new leads.

No difference although it hasn't done the dodgey idle & miss-fire feeling yet so

tbh it hadn't done the misfire thing since I took the old one out and put it back in when ECP gave me the wrong part
