Time for some new shoes for the civic. As I now have track based wheels with semi slicks on these are now solely for road use.
Currently have Goodyear eagle F1 but that model doesnt exsist anymore as they are now asymetric. So I either get another set of the upto date model or try something different. Spend a bit more and go Conti sport contact 5 or try some falken or kumhos (heard good things about these last time I checked)
If they come with an XL sidewall that is also preferable to me

Also not sure if to bother buying online or just go local. Online seems to only save about £40 over the set of 4 and I then have to be in for the delivery and cart them over to my mates garage in grays to get them fitted + beer money....

PS this is not for my dad/market research

Got a mixture of vredestein ultrac sessantas on the front axle and Hankook s1 evo 2's on the rear at the moment. Seem decent.

The Hankook don't give amazing grip and I've had a few wheelspin moments when pulling away quick. The eagle f1 asymmetric 2's I had before were better but also a lot more expensive.

Apparently vredestein ultrac vorti's are a budget Michelin pilot super sport according to some Z4M owners.

I've had PS2's or PS3's on my BMW since I've owned it and they are just fantastic.

The asymmetric 2 F1s are excellent. Check out the wet grip ratings too. 100% recommended

If you go by numbers the kumhos beat all.

Go for the vorti's then. Great reviews all round and they're superior to sessantas.

How long do they last on the road? I can't imagine it being anywhere near as long as all the other normal tyres being talked about!

what you talking about barnes...

the tyres i mentioned are ROAD tyres, just good ones.. they are not a semi slick tyre..

but, my R888's lasted about 10k miles with 3 trackdays on average.. but my car is light compared.

the ad08's i have done 1 trackday so i cant comment on them but they will last longer than the r888's.

I had Kuhmos a while back, I thought they were shite. Wet grip was very poor.

I have the Clio on Pirelli P Zero Neros and they have been great, nice gradual break away in the dry, more than enough wet grip for the road. Seem to be lasting well too.

Weird thing to whinge about but I found the p zero Nero to be really noisy!
