I've bought an old '95 GSi and the bonnet release cable has been well streched and is nearly lying on the floor and will not open the bonnet unless someone bounches on it.
Can these be fixed or replaced, and is it handy done?

There's a clip on the slam panel that you can undo and stretch the wire abit, then tighten it back up.and stick some grease on the bonnet catch also. But if it's really really slack you'd need a new cable. Not that hard to fit, goes round toward the battery and back to the drivers side.
