Who's had one ? Who's got one? Thinking of buying a dtuk one for my 2.0cdti astra. They claim good gains for just a box (165bhp - 212bhp)
Looking for any reviews from people who have had one / know someone who has had them.

Ran one on my 1 series BMW for 70k no issues
Ran it on my e90 and had sensor issues and didn't run well
Appreciate not Vauxhall related
From experience they are a gamble

I ran a DTUK Greenbox on my Astra CDTI back in the day. Made big difference. It was adjustable. Bit of extra smoke though on higher settings but had no issues for the 30k miles I ran it and easy to remove when needed.
DTUK is run by Andrew Pawley who is a decent guy.

Good to hear two positives. All I've heard is bad things about them fucking up dpf's and bringing on management lights.

DTUK are decent proper bits of kit, however there are a lot of shite out there which are glorified resistors from other companies.

My mate just bought one for the exact same car as I've got. It claims 35bhp+ from it. Drove it once he put it on and all its done has took away the flat spot it had. Doesn't feel any faster.
He was warned about putting cheap shit on it though as it only cost him £80 lol

they are not as good as a remap. as they only change 1 or 2 parameters, fuelling and boost and don't look at other parameters can cause lots of expensive damage to an engine.
seen loads of differant ones fitted to common rail diesels and none really did much in ways of gains on the dyno.
only worth thinking about if its short term and a works car your not paying bills on.

Have one on my Abarth, so petrol turbo. No issues in over a year. Just had it dyno'd and it has made 40bhp and 70lb ft more than standard. It's a bluespark box.
Live map will always be better but a tuning box is just a generic map in a box, isn't it?

Based on WHP? or fly?
Anything other than WHP take with a pinch of salt

Because most rolling roads are not accurate.
I have seen standard cars making 20bhp+ over the manufacturer quoted figures
Fly horse power is just pretty much guess work anyway as I'm sure you are aware.

Unless you bench test the engine

Surely when testing gains its not an issue how "accurate" the rollers are?
Roller the car as is - 150bhp
Roller with box (same rollers) - 180bhp.
Job done.

Yes but that's not how it was done in this case.
He had it on a year before it was RR

Standard compitizione's were making 179bhp. The rollers were accurate.

The graph doesn't have whp. Just has max torque and max bhp at engine.
