Well all you people that were going mental will be pleased to know that we pulled out of the Persimmon Home house because we fell out with the developers.

Since then we have found a better house that we reserved today.

This is a 3 bed, detached house, and has a garage plus two parking spaces. and a nice walled garden.

The house is already built, and has already had a load of extras a previous couple ordered that have since pulled out due to the sale of their house falling through - things like alarm etc. Some pics

Nice walled gardem

Housing developer is Lion Court homes, and are a five star builder so hopefully some of you wont get so angry about that.

The prices of the finishing touches.

They were putting 100% on most things. For example carpets to be fitted in the whole house were charging 3.5k.

I found the indentical carpet from a supplier and fitted was 2k.

They were offering 5k towards extras but you had to use them to spend it. Basically 2.5k of that they were taking straight back in profit.

So I complained and said if they chucked a bit of block paving in as an extra we'd be happy but they refused so I told them to forget it.

This is why we didn't take any extras at all. We got the money knocked off the house and paid for everything else ourselves. We got better spec stuff for the same price.

Those pics are of the show home, which is the smaller aspen house. Will be getting inside ours tomorrow, but its only just been built so no flooring or anything yet.

Still its not a massive house but big enough for us

I heard a rumour off your mate that it was you wanting to fit speakers in the house while they were still building it that caused persimmon to tell you to piss off not the other way round. Any clarification?
