Picked this up last weekend. Immense car. Looked at rs4/rs6 but they were always on where as the m5 you can drive nicely and not be noticed but open it up and wow

First proper rwd car. Had a 1.8 mx5 many years ago.

Has fully comprehensive warranty with BMW too.

Looks awesome congrats

Is that 75 miles to half a tank, I have heard the range is seriously limited to 1 tank of fuel

Cracking motor. How do you find the display on the windscreen? I reckon I'd either love it, or find it frustrating.

It's great for when you're doing certain speeds and don't need to look at the clocks to shift or even know that you'll lose your licence.

Very nice motor! Bloke in work has one and only drives it in every so often as it is absolutely shocking on fuel, as you said.

Never noticed this before, but the wipers appear to go in the wrong direction e.g Sweeps up towards the passenger side. Surely that leaves an annoying arc in the drivers view out the windscreen?especially if the screen is dirty.

Jesus half a tank to 75 miles , ouch. Suppose you don't buy a m5 expecting it to be good on fuel but Christ that's bad.

All E60's do this

They have a wiper arrangement like the older mercs that moves the wiper up the screen meaning they swipe a lot of the screen

someone i know who used to have one said it was a pain having to constantly turn the HP up to 500 each time you wanted it as it was always default set to 400

or has their been a software bypass put out for this yet?

i suppose if youre worried about fuel tho, probs bes to keep it at 400bhp lol

lovely car though, sat in my mates one a few times, love how the seat bolsters grab you when going round corners

It sits at 400 normally then you have a button on the steering wheel that sets suspension, DSC, and power and shift speed.

Or you can just press the power button on the gear stick

Its nice standard. Going to get the exhaust fettled with once my valves arrive. So it will sound nice and quiet normally then on a press of a button it will be a straight through exhaust.

Awesome! My mate borrowed an M5 (older one) while his mate was on Holiday, and that had a straight through on it, and you could hear him for ages, go like shit off a shovel too!

V10

Would love one of these (prefer M6 but still) biblical performance.

That grille needs sorting and fast, I would have taken it off when I picked the thing up and pissed on it infront of the previous owner to show my disgust

A close friend has one and it goes and sounds amazing. Having the bolsters move when you turn is strange!
