Cleaned the wheels of my car, last obviously, then wondered is there a good wheel only cleaning sponge available? As this one is now done for in terms of body work.

Use a washmitt instead. Get 2, one for Bodywork and one for the wheels.

White spirits. But for the cost of white spirits you may as well buy new sponges. I buy a big sponges and cut it into smaller pieces for wheels. Could probably cut a couple from your dirty one and chuck away the worst bits.
