So with the New Premier League starting in less than a month, I thought it'd be fairly fitting to start the thread, friendlies coming up soon too.

Any predictions early on as to who you think might go down, who might win?

I heard Kantè has signed with Chelsea today for £30m. He'll be a big loss to us but for that kind of money, we should be able to replace him to help bolster the squad for the Champions League.

I think it's going to be another interesting season!

Isn't this a bit of deja vu? I'm sure a couple years ago they said they would give red cards to anyone who abused the red yet nothing happened.

Offences which could earn players a yellow card:

Visibly disrespectful behaviour to any match official;
An aggressive response to decisions;
Confronting an official face to face;
Running towards an official to contest a decision;
Offensive, insulting or abusive language and/or gestures towards match officials;
Physical contact with any match official in a non-aggressive manner;
A yellow card for at least one player when two or more from a team surround a match official.

New red card offences:

If a player confronts match officials and uses offensive, insulting or abusive language and/or gestures towards them;
Physical contact with match officials in an aggressive or confrontational manner.

I think it's about time, players really mug the officials off, and whilst it's mostly deserved towards the officials, you can't have dissent on the pitch really.

But whats the point of adding the new red card offences when they never enforce the existing yellow car offences.

Virtually every game includes:
Visibly disrespectful behaviour to any match official;
An aggressive response to decisions;
Confronting an official face to face;
Running towards an official to contest a decision;

Hopefully they'll follow through with this. If they do it right there will be a lot of cards in the first few weeks. Then possibly a modicum of respect towards officials for kids to see and to shut up the Rugby lot a bit

So, tomorrow's the big day. Sounds like Hull are in turmoil, 13 fit players apparently, they'll probably beat us as that seems to be the way

I dunno, he appeared to lose interest pre season like he didn't want to stay. He needs to try and not hold the ball for as long as he does, as he tends to lose it apart from the odd occasion where he plays a blinder.
