I thought you'd just booked your Fabia in to have the front bumper smoothed and whole front of the car repainted? Waste of time and money if you're going to sell and buy a 6 series...
I'd agree with the above, parts will be very expensive and fixing things that go wrong will be costly unless you can do some of it yourself.
You're also looking at a complicated car with a high mileage V8 (assuming the 645 was an indicator). If so, it's never going to be cheap to run.

Basically what Tom said, Parts will be very expensive, suspension parts, brakes etc. I just had to replace the alternator on mine at £250 just for the part.

Find a reg for one, ring your local motor factor and ask for a price on front and rear discs, pads and sensors.
When you've picked resuscitated yourself, pick something else to buy.

Yes I have booked the Skoda in for respray, but I'm not selling the Skoda, that's being handed over to the missus. I can only imagine that parts will be expensive being a BMW, nothing comes cheap nowadays. and it being a 4L petrol i do agree it's going to get costly driving 38miles per day.

They are cheaper solid discs.
Genuine is cheaper 122 per disc on the front for the 4.4 v8
So 500/600 for a complete brake refresh.

£42 for a non-floating 348x30 on brakeparts.co.uk
£74 for a 348x36
£27 for the front pads axle set.
Although I'm still not saying get one. You could easily have little twatty problems that appear not major but are actually grands to get to because the hardware is so massive and there's no room to work.
High mileage and a lot of parts not being available aftermarket would worry me more.
