The woman's car is using a lot of water. Last week the expansion tank was nearly empty. And today it is empty again. She's doing about 60 miles per day mixed driving.

I don't think it's the head gasket because there's no mayo, it's not overheating and no white smoke.

I can only assume it is the attached pipe that's leaking as down the side of the engine is a lot of pink staining from the coolant. Down near the aux belt roller, it has an adjustable pipe clip rather than spring clip near the inlet/throttle body. It looks like this has been over tightened.

I want to replace the pipe first before dropping to a garage.

I believe part number is 464936462 but can't find anything online. Is this the right part number?

try this one, also you may need the fitting that screws into the top of the water pump as they are prone to cracking.
could also be the water pump leaking?

As Dave said. Could be the water pump as they are shit. Along with the rest of the engine tbh

So I may have been looking for the wrong part number?

Didn't realise that connected into the water pump?! Interesting, might be worth getting it booked in to garage then.

Guess it's not an issue as long as it is kept topped up?!

Yeah the top number is the part number.

Water pumps are pretty visible on these. Easy to change too with minimal mechanical knowledge.

Keep it topped up it's fine. Just not ideal
