just guna do my install but goin to mount my subs with the cone out. does the box have to b different if so, how much?

All you have to do is just minus the amount of displacement the sub makes from your box size. (sealed box)

and reverse the polarity on the speaker

coz u want the cone to move outwards on the beat so the pressure in the car increases, with the subs facing inwards the cone will move the wrong way unless u reverse it....

Yeah it looks wicked if you got some nice sub's with chrome baskets... but you'll lose something like 3db so i've been told...

yea i have got blue anodised baskets. guna have silver fibreglass and itl look wicked wen lit up in neon

Sometimes the sub sounds better if you dont reverse the polarity. Speakers can sound better as well if you try changing polarity. Sometimes makes the sound appear less distant

yeah, thats probably cos they were out of phase in the first place mate.
