Hello all,
my younger brother recently purchased a 57 plate Astra Sri 1.8 alls been fine until recently, i popped round earlier and drove it, everything appeared normal until i joined the dual carriageway and put my foot down to join lane, i could feel it struggle a bit and then i noticed a cloud of smoke in the rear mirror, it only did that one time but he says its been doing it pretty much every journey now
Ive checked cap and no signs of gunk or white yogurt looking stuff, water level seems ok although he said it was empty when he bought it he just filled it up
any help before he decides to either get rid or foot a bill
Cheers lads

Fill the expansion tank right up and with the cap off run the engine to see if there is air passing through.
Might have to get someone to hold the revs up a bit while you look.
