We had great time in Bangkok and managed to get alot in considerign the King had died and 10,000+ Thai people visited Bangkok each day t o queue at the grand palace to pay respects
Day 1 we arrived around 1300 so just explored the city and went Patpomg at night

Day 4 - full day out at the River Kwai and Hellfire Pass
Took around 2.5hrs drives to get to the memorial - really nicely preseetd and really brings home the travesty the Japanese military inflicted during WWII in which some 100,000 people lost their lives building the 400km railway in less than 16 months
