Haven't really got a useful, justifiable explanation TBH, I just don't like Norton products

Sophos Anti-Virus all the way for me

Mikorsa - yeh you either need to crack it or do a reformat|reinstall .

I haven't yet been able to find and remove the appropriate registry key to get rid of all evidence of it.

Alternatively you can get Norton Internet Security 2003 (which includes NAS 2003) - fulll version of Kazaa It's the full complete version (cd rip).

Try http://www.verifieddownloads.com/dls.php?go=1&az=N&start=30 , the one I got is the 3rd one down, 65 megs, it's nice and clean .

edit - strictly for evaluation purposes only of course
