You can have them taken out under general anesthetic if you want to not feel or see a thing.

I was pooing my pants when mine came through as I was worried about having them out and hearing how you swallow blood and you may throw up etc (in which case the dentist retracts his hands very quickly! (imaging the mess of throwing up and not being able to feel where its going!) but I had an X-ray of my gob and all seems to have turned out ok. Still get toothache sometimes though - thinnk there just aftershocks

If yuo have to have them out, I heard if you only need one then you have them all out at once - dunno if this is true.

I'd just go for general anaesthetic and sleep though it all.
