- big puff of smoke when it starts from exhaust.
-smokes from exhausts after i turned it off
-lost power under 3500rpm
-and it stinks of, oil/petrol. not healthy

any suggestions? Piston rings?

gonna def look into engine, met a mechanic (friend of a friend) who has offered some suberb prices for mechanics work.
Gonna be getting bodywork done in a couple of weeks.....nothing mad just colour coding and smoothing, and getting my rims refurb'd.......

might just see how long the 1.4 goes on for, b4 dying

If I had a Corsa with a C20LET in it I would probably kill myself within 5 minutes of driving it!

I'd just prefer not to have a turbo, would rather get TB's and feel more reassured that i ain't gonna pop it...

Nahhh, I still dont think LET's are all that great in a corsa. Dont see the point in haveing an engine that tries to spin teh wheels up all the time.

XE is deffo the way to go

Speak to Lee Mitchell. The whole conversion inc engine only costs about £1500! Takes him 1 week to do as well.

Don't want a 1.6 either, will get fed up with that too quick...........Was gonna ask Lee, but can get it done cheaper than chips, i just have to buy the parts and give him the car........

Gotta look at brakes and coilovers now...

Well buy the C16XE and get it on some TB's. Then you wont be bored. Corker engine the C16XE.
