if i have the passneger door handle removed and leave the drivers side would i need to have a means of getting in via that door? ie could i just remove it and just open it myself from the inside when needed and not bother with a solenoid etc?
would this be legal come m.o.t time?
cheers.

i THINK you just need a method of entering the car, so if u have only the passenger door done you should be fine...
Don't trust me though, get a clever person to answer

i believe the MOT requires that each door has to have mechanical means of access to pass.
could always stick a little hammer on the b pillar in case of emergency
hope that helps.

yes both front doors need a way in
leaving window open might work

Speaking to DVLA, Ministry of Transport and Local Police, as long as they can enter the car (even if smashing the window and opening from inside) then it's acceptable! Checked this just yesterday
