...3 points and a £60 fine for driving all 2 meters into a one way street the wrong way.
Realised my mistake but they came whoring up behind and shouted at me for being a danger to the public roads
Anyway.
I'm 19, have had my license a year and a few months. Insurance is about £500, how much am i looking at it going up by?
Cheers.

In all fairness i cant see that three points should affect you by much. The only way they might take a dim view of it is if by chance they class it as dangerous driving. I would shop around as all insurance companies are thieves and quote stupid amounts any way. You never know, you may get a better quote else where any way

How long will the points stay on my license?
Will insurance ASK what the points were for?

afaik they will remain on your liscense for 3 years. They may well ask what they are for in which case it gives you an oppertunity to explain.

Big difference getting points for racing etc to accidently going into a one way street at 10.30pm
They even told me they were off-duty and had it been 1 / 2 am and roads quieter id have gotten off with it.
Proper smart wanting to hear that.

Does some thing there not quite make sense to any one else. How can a copper give you points when not on duty?????? As soon as they are off duty i thought they became regular citizens and there for have no more power than you and i. I could be wrong though.

U don't need to tell insurance companies that u have 3 points, they will neva know. I got 3 points the day after I passed my driving test and and neva told insurance company and now they have been taken off cos I had my licence longer than 3 yrs now.

I was REALLY fuct off about it last night, but now i'm seeing the bright side.
This is what one officer said last night...
"Had it been a traffic car you would have got off A LOT worse"
I think he's probably right.

That's just taking the piss, and they weren't even on duty!?
I'd definitely get down the local Police station and make an officail complaint!
Or if it was me I have Central Scotland Police HQ not far away, I'd go down there.

I already signed the pink piece of paper saying that i'm receiving 3 points + £60 fine.
How can I prove they were off duty other than what they told me.

What you need to do is go down and say sumthing along the lines of "It was a mistake im only human i realised straight away i was in the wrong hence i was turning around, im not condoning the driving the wrong way up one way streets and had i been done for speeing or such like then i wudlve accepted my penalties, im only a young driver and insurance is already unmanagable and i feel its a very harsh penalty for such a small mistake"
