everytime i try to open ma D: drive though My Computer it keeps saying "this disk is formatted do u wanna for it?" but my HDD was werking yesterday and this morning. ive tired restrting system and n joy.... can anyone help me plz?

usually happens wen the sectors become corrupt or damaged, normally happens with a floppy disk u will have to reformat

argh!!! i dont wanna format, ive got 800MB ov MP3's all from a 56k... nooo i cannot format there no otha way around it

no unless u can access them in DOS then u will need to invest in sum expensive data recovery software apart from that ul have to reformat

Copy all music onto another hd if u have one then format the other one and copy back. But if u havent got another hd then u gotta re-format

The only thing u can probably try is to run some sort of hdd diagnostics on it, download some stuff off of Kazaa and try and it may be able to restore some stuff off the disk.

ive got anotha one, but it wont let me in too it to copy stuff, i'll try it in DOS

im using 2k oi how do i get into DOS in win 2k cos there no restat in dos mode
