Quote from one person on that thread:
quote:
I dont know what they're laughing at. They've got Corsa's FFS. The old ones were some of the most sluggish, bad handling cars around at that time. ####, even Nova's were probably better
Fact is, my completely standard 1.4 Micra has beaten 1.4 Corsa's and Tigra's (16 valve) usually by a cars length to 60mph.
Funny that, isnt it, from such a slow car as a Micra.

It's OK.
And BTW I am not taking the piss with this thread, I just never saw a 200bhp Micra before and thought others on here might want to see the info, and then I looked at your thread on their message board...

Agreed...corsas and Micras are only starting blocks....the means to an end....In reallty I could afford to by a Vx etc, if the insurance companies wouldnt rape me.....hence 1.2 corsa till I get max no claims better age etc.

I think the current Micra range you can get a 1.4, previous shape was only 1.0 16v and 1.3 16v.

Place I used to work at, sometimes this guy I worked with would race me in his bog standard 1.0 Micra, that thing would piss all over my Corsa speed wise, mind you my Corsa was a 1.2 16v auto, even a 1.0 12v Corsa (manual) could beat me...
