I need a new areial for a 98 corsa to suit the orginal head unit (Grundig) i went to the scrappy and showed him the damaged aerial it has that chip in it. He said that if i got one of him i'd have to get it re-programmed to suit my car radio or else it wouldn't work is this true. I have an ordinary aerial on at the moment but the reception is crap. any suggestions.

i can get an arial booster from car auido places are u sure its not just the bit on ya roof thats fucked

yeah its def the chip part thats gone. do u know if one from a scrap yard would have to be reprogramed. if i did get a booster would i have to run a new lead to the radio as the connection at the roof is funny. Thanks dave

any one will do, if u change ur head unit u dont have to re-prog it, its only a booster inside the black box bit!
