a 200 SX is it????
Don't think he appreciated not being able to pull away & was smoking like a bitch
He pulled me over & asked what i'd done to my engine & what figures I was running.
Told him a few bits & bobs & that it was running 180 hp, he goes I should still beat you i got around 190 hp (whats the book figure for them??). I didnt wanna say anything bout that I would actually beat him on the road due to my car being smaller, lighter & totally stripped out.
He he, he didn't expect that

S14 has 197bhp (rounder shape, like Stu has got). 60 in 6.4 and tops out at 146mph.
S13 has 180bhp. Not sure on official stats for these.

I wanted a purple one. S14, Touring, leather and sideskirts.
Different style of looks, good engine, very smooth cars, great bodykits available from Japan.

Well i'm going down to where some people meet up later to see him, but he said his was around 190. If it was the S14 then there wouldn't be much in it, but I have a feeling it was a S13 (modded) cos he said he had same hybrid as me (T25)

Sounds like it could be an S13 yeah. I THINK the 60 is about 7 seconds, but don't quote me on that.
I actually think they came with 170bhp thinking about it, but again, i was only interested in the S14's so not sure.
Still, who cares, its a 1.8litre turbo (S13)

At the moment yes it is at 139bhp but that is still fast for a n/a 1600 especially with only that!
I am not planning on doing anything else to the engine. It is a Corsa after all and never really will be VERY quick. I am concentrating on getting the bodywork done for now and don't really care about performance as I AM getting a new car.
Yes, I was going to get an Astra Gsi Turbo as I do really like them. Since then though I have realised that I can get hold of a TVR Cerbera for only a couple of k's more and fully comp insurance is only £1900!
At the moment the TVR is top of my list only the slight unpracticality puts me off having kids and all that! There is also a couple of other cars that I am thinking of but I'm not gonna talk about them cos people like you and Daimo will keep on and on!
One thing I will tell you. Every car I'm considering does a quarter in the sub 14's!

Welcome to £2k services with a TVR
Well, people like Andy and myself have read post after post after post after post after post about what your going to do.
Yet since the CvS day, nowts been done at all? In fact,u've even taken off bits!
Wouldn't say Lucky B's old car was slow myself. 147mph @ 1.5 miles, @ 7500rpm, and pulls to the 8500rpm limiter in 5th.
How fast do you define "quick". Any car that does a sub 6 sec 0-60 is quick. And in a corsa, doing sub 5's?

have you thought about thrust ssc? ive heard it is quite quick on the 1/4mile and you can hire it out apparently, you will need to fit discs on the back tho, cos they come out the factory with drums

Matt, I was talking about the 1/4 mile time not the power.
My car is only registering 139bhp cos there is a ECU fault and the engine isn't recieving enough fuel!

And whys that? Perfectly serious comments and questions.
What do u define as a "quick" car then?
Do u know the running costs on a TVR? Theoretically im trying to help here.
And lastly, if you ignore everything i say, why did u reply

My definition of a quick car is something that you can buy and keep standard engine wise and nothing else can keep up except supercars etc...
TVR's...
Skyline's...
Evo's...
Supra's...
I want a car that I don't have to modify to be fast. Am fed up with the downfalls of modifying engines!

Modified engines work fine if you read up on them first and gain the knowledge and know what your doing otherwise you will encounter problems yes.
