i sold my landlord a nokia 7210 a while back. all was fine till he busted it and asked me if i could fix it. so sent it to my mate in london to fix and the phone + box got stolen from his car (clever prick)
now my landlord wants me to give him a refund for the phone cos he thinks its my fault and said he'll call the police if i dont.
thing is there is no proof that i even sold him the phone in the first place.
so can he still call the police?

Your landlord can't prove anything. Whether he takes the law into his own hands is another matter entirely, however...
