Just curious if anyone has ever taken their (virtually standard) sxi up the strip or seen anyone else do it?
What times did they get?
What should I expect if I take it up the strip? Just for the fun of it.

cool
I just did a very inacurate 1/4 mile down a road on the way back from college (I noticed no cars infront or behind. so I stopped my car and did it when the mileage counter came to 0)
counting in my head and watching the mileage counter - I got around 19/20 seconds.
My car feels screwed at the moment anyway, I think its the clutch - it feels all rubbery when I change gear/pull away.
Just every time I change gear like 5k to 3.5k - it just sits around for a second or two then starts pulling...
any sites with car's quarter mile times on?

That's about as accurate as my 0-60 is
Stopped in the road, pressed the stopwatch and floored it then stopped when it was 60-ish, got 10.8 Bit pissed off to be honest, thought it was below 10

hehe I know - I watched the mileage counter go from 0 to 2 and a half. Then stopped counting
0-60's etc counting in the head just doesn't work. Your trying to do so much at once you lose count / count too fast / too slow.
Oh well

yes u cannot even get close counting seconds in your head far too innacurate u can be as much as 4 seconds out either way meaning my car could do it in 11 secs if i used my head

yup I remember when ojc said about the 50-80mph time... and I came out with a time that was like only 0.5 seconds slower than his punto GT
What I need is some sort of laser / sensor and position them a quarter mile away from each other then get it to auto count my time... Ohh the fun I could have with that.
