Right guys i was driving along in my car yesterday and my engine mangement light came on and i though Ohhhhhhhh no and then it started jerking back and forward (as if i had run out of petrol) anyway carried on then it was ok and then started doing it again !
I cant use my car now and obviously i need it big time !
When i put my foot down it stayed still then picked up speed as if the air filter was blocked
Any ideas on what i can do today to get it fixed ??
Petrol is low but not on red
Ive got a new belt (old one seems ok then) maybe worth a try ??
Air Filter hasnt been cleaned for ages but i cant see that turning the light on ??
HELP ME !

u leave the battery disconected for more than a hour i think, then when reconected you start the car a leave in running for 10 second whitout reving it, in the time the ecu recalibrates it's self

to reset the ECU, disconnect the negative lead on the battery, leave it disconnected for 1 hour+, then reconnect it.
not saying this will solve it though. Just a suggestion

16 pin diagnostic reading:
connect the XX with a paper clip and turn the ignition on, dont start the engine though!

every code is 4 digits long and will flash 3 times, if the light stays off then no codes are stored. If a code begines with a 1 then it is a vauxhall specific code, all codes begining 0 can be found at On Board Diagnostics.
10,4,10,10,10,4,10,10,10,4,10,10, is code 0400 EGR valve.
Hope this helps.
10,4,10,10 would flash 10 times, pause for 1 sec, flash 4 times, pause for 1 sec, flash 10 times, pause for 1 sec, flash 10 times, pause for 2/3 secs.
