Get a bigger battery first.
65a from a Frontera is in D4. Its bigger, but not had any problems yet.

70A diesel altenator should fit but the vauxhall standard battery's are SH1TE! As said above get a bigger battery with more capacity and CCA and remember to try and not play your system too much without the engine on.

yeah, its also like 450 quid cos its got the vacuum pump attached to it.

Ehh? I dont know much about engines etc but i can get a altenator out of a diesel at my local scrappers for £50?? Do i need other parts with this? You could have your existing altenator re-wound but make sure you carry a fire extinguisher with you at ALL times
