I am looking into getting a 2.0 16V conversion done.
I am 18 so I can see its gonna be a bit of a problem, tried Tesco and they said "We dont cover none standard cars" rung HIC "We dont cover people under 19, but when your 19 come back and we could cover you for around £1200"
So dunno who to ask next, was considering getting my stepdad to insure it on his policy with 'Any Driver' clause in it so I can drive it and still be covered.
Anyone got any good companies to try or good tips to get around the companies.
Cheers,
Sean.

I will be 19 next April.
TBH if I am paying less than £2000 I would be happy enough, to say what I would get for that doillar.
I am paying nearly £1800 now for a 1.2 8V so paying the same again for a 2.0 16V this year would definatly be worth it.

if your paying that now there is no way on gods green earth are you going to get insured for 2k.... your having trouble to find a company to even look at you let alone give you a price.
if you do find someone they will give you a stupid quote like 3.5k!
