usually always get over £10 tip

I always make sure a tip is left at a restaurant but would never leave one at a fast food place where no pride or effort goes into the food

Its a bitch when ur waiting on an obviously wealthy table - and ur really waiting on properley - unliek soem palces - then the bill comes to over the average £20 per person -and they dont tip - really winds em up - on a good nite, I take home my wage in tips, so double my money effectively.
and I always tip but only if its good -
Oh and who said the chef should get it - at the end of the day a tip stands for service tip/charge and gratuities, and hence is for the service, nothing else -
but i agree yes the chef should get something, which is why at my place we have a tips jar and split it at the end of every day

i don't tip unless i feel they have gone outta their way to make my experience better........don't see the point in paying someone extra to do their job, i don't get tipped if i do a good drawing, so why should someone for bringing me food...
