My little baby (labrador called Jamie) had me up all last night coughing! i think he has kennel cough! he hasn't left my side all day as every time he coughs he gets scared and hides by me. Dose any1 no and thing that can help him im worried cause some people say it can lead to death!

my old black lab had it. take the dog to the vets and they give it pills to mix it with its food. It can be dangerous if not sorted.

Yeah but the vet said it can go either way plus i have another dog a jack russell called rosie and she has to be on antibiotics as well!

puppies are worst effected by kennel cough, our bassett hounds had it very nasty wen they were pups, so did mine and kerrys staffs, best bets just to take em to the vets

it is a collective term for tracheobronchitis, most comman cause (90%) is Bordetella bronchiseptica although other infections refered to as kennal cough are caused by viruses. you can get a vaccine against Bordetella bronchiseptica but like I said there are other causes. the VET will probably give the dog some antibiotics and maybe a cough supressent
