in the last week my cars been running at a higher temp than normal, it used to run at just under the 90 mark apart from when stood in traffic obviosly but now its goin up to the 100 mark and the fan kicks in then goes bak down again then fan stops then it rises and so on. theres no sign of headgasket failure so ive ruled that out, theres water in the header tank. the only thing i can think of is that ive just fitted one of those bumpers from carlton auto that cover up where the grill used to be and i was wonderin if this was preventing air gettin into the engine bay and cooling it down. is this somethin i gotta live with now and is it gonna do damage to it? its not actually overheating just gettin hotter than it used to be
anyone else noticed this after fitting the same bumper?
Cheers, Chris

i have a carlton bumper , not same as yours but my engine defo runs hotter since then. its definately your bumper, if you want to keep the bumper i would advise getting a cut in bonnet scoop.
