the cam followers have gone in my car, the engine makes a right tap. the cams might be ok but im going to have them changed at the same time. This lot is costing me about £150 fitted, is this worth it, its only a 1.2 8v, or should i get anouther engine from scrappy. ?

my hydrolic lifters are tapping their tits off, their worn but they cost like £14 for 1 lifter x 16
ive spent so much money on my engine getting it to run normaly i dont think i can justerfy spending around £400 more on it, esp. if im really considering a 2.0 conversion next year

standard ones are about £6/7 each from autovaux.
Taking them out and cleaning them with parafin or similar works well.

Oh, and the lifters will only damage the cams if it has run low on oil.
