Talkin to this guy last nite outside work about his new mini cooper s. Then he starts askin me about my Corsa, so say -

"not done much to it but im gettin a 2.0 16v fitted in 2 weeks, should be about 155bhp." He replies with -

"155, that not much considering its a 2 litre, my minis only a 1.6 and that makes over 160bhp." So i say "yeah but the 2 litres about a 12 yr old design, plus your engines supercharged."

He says - "what do you mean supercharged? is that like nitrous?"

I know im not the cleverest person in the world, but at least i make sure i know whats making everthing go round under the bonnet!! Had me chuckling all nite that one He was a right toff as well

Are you sure it was a Cooper-S and not just a Cooper?

Cooper is 110bhp and the Cooper-S is 167bhp.
Cooper-S Works is 210bhp

Deffinitly a stock cooper S, had the badges and the stupid looking bonnet vent.

It was just the way he was talking to me like i was a piece of dirt, then he went all quiet when i pointed out it was supercharged he was all

its too much effort to set these people right. I just let them believe what they already think they know.

You get alot of people like this in Uni.

I remebered someone in a mx5 (import)
with 200,000km + on the clocks. Its was badly damaged. bodywork + interior.

he tried to do a donut, but stalled the engine. then at startup, attempted to do a 3point turn back in the correct direction and stalled when in reverse...

I couldn't hold my laughter in for long.

What do u rekon would win in a race ? The 2.0 16v corsa or the cooper s ? Obviously the mini is more powerful but surly it weighs about 4 tonnes comming from BMW

Personnally, i think the Supercharged Minis are cool. I'd love to own one. Poncy peashooter exhausts, but just think.

Set of 18"s, neaten the bodywork up a bit, new exhaust, and spend te ££ on teh engine.

Sure u could see 250bhp from it Esp if factory are gettnig nearly 215bhp from it!

I live about 5 minutes away from the factory! Bloody Mini's are everywhere around here!
