neither did i. I thought it was a DC2/3 first it made such a deep noise i immediately looked out the window. But i could see these huge radial engines, one on the nose, and one under each wing

Sooty PSTFU. The DC3 is totally safe and has the worst safety record because its the most number of aircraft built of any type in history. DC3's out number all modern aircraft 2:1.
