What does it take to have a Revs cover car.

well 2day i have found out it has to be a bright coloured one.

We have spent months building My chicks car to be on Cover of revs as promised and after her first fature last year, was looking forward to it.

we travelled 1250 miles round trip to max live to be on the Revs stand and the weekend cost us over £500 for hotel etc and the car was all set for it feature next monday (cover) as promised over the last few months

a fortune was just spent on new chrome 19s yesterday for the feature, now to be told the below.

Please dont delete this post as it will just be put back up.

i dont think people relise how much work goes into building theese cars.

i must however thank Emz at Revs for all her hard work trying to organise our feature only to be told the below.

a pissed of Bradz

Bradz mate,

We have a problem.

I've just sorted all of this shoot out, only to be told 20mins ago that we
can no longer put your beast on the cover. This has severely pissed me off,
as I'm sure it will you too.

But, after it was on the stand at the weekend, the editor saw it and
proclaimed it was too dark to risk putting it on the cover (as if we get up
to you and the weather is overcast then the affect on the shots will be
devastating.) I think this has been brought on by recent research that we've
had back from the last 12 issues, and the three dark cars that we've had on
the cover didn't sell very well.

So, what we can offer you is a really cracking 6 page feature (which is what
your car was down for anyway, but without the cover.) Or you can tout the
lovely beasty round the other mags- Max, Redline and FC and see what they
can offer you?

I know this is really terrible, and feel free to call us all the names under
the sun (but don't aim them at me, 'cus this is all the pen-pushers fault
upstairs!) But please remember that we at Revs have some integrity- we
could've very easily shot your car, lead you to believe it was going to be
on the cover, then stuck it in as a normal feature, which I've heard Fast
Car is terrible for doing.....

We want you to get the best for your car- which is why I've told you
straight as soon as I could.

If you want me to give you a ring to explain further then just let me
know....

In the mean time: I'll leave you to decide what you want to do. We can still
shoot on Monday as planned- but we can no longer put the car on the cover.

So sorry peeps,

Emm

That's unlucky, but on the bright side (no pun intended) at least it'll still be getting a good feature?

Quote from simon johston , revs dude

just sorted out my cover and 8 page feature but ....

"If the car is a
nice bright colour and has an interior to match the outside, then I can
virtually guarantee a cover here and now "

my plan anyway was to paint it bright

The car wasnt built to get the feature. its was built the way my bird wanted it, as its her car.

But when ur promised a Cover feature and u get let down like this, it fucking anoying.

Other people that have spent the time and effort we have will undertsand.

and obvioulsy to help promote my company more.

something U obviously dont Daimo.

The cover is the reward for all the hard work.
