I have those ugly grey bumpers on my 1994 L corsa B if i took em to a body shop to get sprayed would it look good? Ive heard that it chips easily. My cars red so i want to get the bumpers and arches red what you rekon?

yer prity easy mate, i have a 93 corsa in white, i sprayed the bumps and the archs my self, the finsish is very good. hopefuly they will last. i used plastic primer, alot of it. the body colour and then used clear lacquer. as long as all the prep work is done probably u should have no problems.
they will use a air compresser at a body shop as well so there should be no problems there.

piece of piss, paint will only come off it its not prepared properly, facelift corsas had half colour coded bumpers anyway, same plastic.

I'm wanting to do this as well..... got the paint already.

mike_southside: did you sand the bumpers smooth or just paint them?

also would i be able to do it with them still on the car do you think?

still on the car dont be a lazy fool, they only take like 2 mins too remove.

smooth em, paint wont look shiny if they are bumpy.

Haynes manual says you have to buy new plastic screws or something? That right?

thanx guys looks like it will be done any idea how much it would cost for 2 bumpers and 4 arches all smoothed an painted?

nah, mine has been off bout 30 times and i neva changed them.
