If you put in a panel filter such as a k and n or similar and put in a cold air feed pointing towards the holes it will make a fair noise. It wont be as noisy as an induction kit but noiser than standard.

Your fuel economy won't be greatly reduced really, but maybe just a little

yip, sounds very nice up to bout 2k revs, then exhaust kicks in! if u cut back the outlet pipe in the lid (sucks air from the top of the filter into the engine) it makes throttly response sooooooo much better!!

(but some 1.2's had this done from new) its easy enough to tell, if the pipe in the lid is the same size as the flexible hose, then its fine, if not, cut it back)

just drill the box below the filter and not on the side with the engine

Just drilled mine, and fuck me it sounds the bollocks, very beefy!!

If an induction kit will make a better noise, im looking forward to getting one!!
